Heading to Australia

About to leave for Australia. . .
     Well, I was leaving for Australia when one of my friends created a blog and wrote a post about how some of her friends were leaving the country!  Katie Wilson is my little sis in Chi O and such an amazing friend :)
     AND if I would have been more "blog savy," I would have probably read it before now (June 4) since she wrote it in January!  But I am so happy that I found it. . .it was such a nice surprise!

F to the light information!

It is less than 48 hours away!  Can't believe it!!!
(Travel information on Sunday: 1. Drive to Atlanta 2. Atlanta to Dallas 3. Dallas to LA 4. LA to Brisbane 5. Brisbane to Cairns) So, I will travel from Sunday to Tuesday but here is the exciting part:
*On Monday, Jan 31st, I will not exist.  No matter what I do, POOOOF, there goes a day!!! :)
And next time I write, I will hopefully be in Australia!

Here is a chart I just made with the time difference between Central Time and the Australian Eastern Standard Time Zone.  Sydney is 17 hours ahead (until daylight savings in April).

My To-Do List

17.   Go to an Australian Club- go clubbing
18.   Travel on the weekends with your local friends

20.   Climb the Harbor Bridge
21.   Learn to play cricket
22.   Go on a boat in the Sydney Harbor
23.   Bring back Kfoss and Gabreski lots of Aussie gifts….Aussie men are included with Australian Accents
24.   Try to go to Steve Irwin’s Zoo in Northern Australia- I’m not sure if this is possible for you though.
25.   Bring a fashion trend back to the states
26.   Find a kookaburra
27.   Learn about aboriginal culture
28.   Go to the Carnivals in Sydney…don’t do # 1 there, you know what we mean.
29.   Go to an Australian Rainforest
30.   Bring back Australian Dance moves
31.   Bring back Australian Music

Mapz!


Here is a map of Australia!  I outlined the planned trip in pink.  The first week, I will be in the Culture and Adventure Program in Cairns and then I will travel to Sydney to start school.  I am SO EXCITED!!!  It will be great when I am finally done with all the preparations and packing and am finally heading there (on the 3 day flight!)  Can't wait!
